Federal Skilled Worker

The Federal Skilled Worker program is for applicants who are skilled workers with foreign work experience who want to immigrate to Canada permanently. This program has minimum requirements for all applicants which include skilled work experience, language ability, and education. Once you have been approved for the minimum requirements then the Canadian government will asses your application based on age, education, work experience, whether you have a valid job offer, English/French skills and how well you are likely to settle here (adaptability). Similar to other immigration programs, these factors are part of a points system that is used to assess the applicant’s eligibility for the Federal Skilled Worker Program.
