Citizenship

To be eligible to become a Canadian citizen, you must be a permanent resident, have lived in Canada for 3 out of the last 5 years, have filed your taxes, pass a test on your rights, responsibilities and knowledge of Canada, and prove your language skills. The test that is administered is a requirement for any adult between the age of 18-54, and covers general knowledge about Canada. This includes information on Canadian history, geography, economy, government, laws and symbols.
