The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) is a key immigration pathway under Canada’s Express Entry system, designed to attract skilled tradespeople to become permanent residents of Canada. ✔ Language Proficiency – Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English or French, with minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) scores of 5 in speaking and listening, and CLB 4 in reading and writing.

✔ Education – There is no formal education requirement for this program; however, applicants must meet the qualifications required for their specific trade.

✔ Medical and Security Clearance – Applicants must pass medical examinations and background checks to ensure they meet Canada’s health and security standards.

The FSTP covers various skilled trades under the National Occupational Classification (NOC), including:

🔹 Construction & Industrial Trades – Electricians, plumbers, carpenters, welders, pipefitters, machinists
🔹 Transportation Trades – Truck drivers, aircraft maintenance engineers
🔹 Food & Beverage Industry – Chefs, bakers
🔹 Other Technical Trades – HVAC mechanics, industrial instrument technicians, heavy equipment operators
